How great is your blindness

How great the Blindness

Luke 6:41-42 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? (42) Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

One day a brother looked at his sibling and realized that he had a mote in his eye, he then tried to help his brother by removing the mote. He did not realize that he had a stick in his eye as well.

I learned from the story that the brother loved his brother and he felt compassion, he immediately identified himself with his brothers’ problem. But the bigger problem was this, either he knew his vision was also impaired or he did not know it.

It is possible the brother was aware that he could not see clearly, but even so he could not resist offering his help. Most people hear the word and see the manifestations of Christ, but if the heart remains unchanged then I am still blind. The word of god is like seed and fruit must come out of the tree. A Christian life that does not show fruits is worthless.

The helping brother might also have thought he sees better than his young brother. I might not be aware that my vision is not like everybody else. I do not see anything wrong. I remember before I got my spectacles, I believed that the vision I had is ok even though I had the knowledge that I could not see very far. But it was ok. The day I got my vision glasses was the turning point, immediately I put them on was like given new eyes and I am in another place. I knew then that I was not seeing and which meant;

I was a danger to myself and others even when I was driving them. (Ref. Luke 6:39)

Now look at one of Christ teachings;

Mat 6:23 …. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Listen, if what I see and believe is light whereas it is blindness how big is my blindness, many will stumble and fall because of the darkness in me for what brings life is the light that is in me.

The only time you realize that your vision is good is when you start to see even the things you could not see before. Joh 9:25 …one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

Concluding Prayer

Receive your vision now in the name of Jesus, I command that blindness will go and clear vision come for that is the wish of the father for us.

Shepherd for the sheep

Ezekiel 34:2 ...Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? The Shepherd will always lead the sheep to pasture. The bible say that " we are sheep of his pasture" . ( Psalms 100:3 ) Let us look at this scripture in another way. what is the role of the sheep in all this. The sheep have to know the voice of the shepherd who has been tasked by God to lead them to pasture. The sheep must learn to always follow the shepherd. if a christian in a congregation is doing things according to their own understanding that is why they end up in the wilderness situation. People need to wake up and start to take heed of the voice of those who have been appointed by Christ himself to lead them. the bible say that He [ Christ ] chose some to be Apostles, prophets, evangelist , pastors [ shepherds ] and teachers. ( Ephesians 4:11 )  Our prosperity depends on obedience of the word given to us from God through the appointed shepherds. In ...

All things are new

ALL THINGS ARE NEW One day I woke up and realized that I was the same person as I went to bed. But not all of us who go to sleep wake up, not all who wake up are in good health or state of mind. But what about our situations, problems are they still the same? Here is the bigger picture, when I repented God promised and fulfilled my recreation as a new creature, with All things renewed. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. My faith is what helps me to understand this is to start walking by faith and not by what I see . 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) When I became a new creature the laws of life or of man apply no more, only that of Christ in me. Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. The other problem is that i do not know how to renew old self to the ne...

The Gift of Reverence

  How Fearing the Lord Leads Us Closer to Him Psalm 95:7: "The fear of the Lord leads to reverence and obedience. Let's heed His voice and follow His ways." The concept of fearing God can be easily misunderstood. In this context, to fear God is not to be afraid of Him, but to have a deep respect and awe for His power, majesty, and holiness. It is a recognition of His infinite wisdom and love, and our complete dependence on Him. Proverbs 1:7 says: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Having reverence for God grounds us in humility and reminds us to seek His wisdom in all things. Through this reverence, we cultivate obedience. When we truly understand and respect God's power and love, we naturally want to follow His commandments. Deuteronomy 10:12-13 instructs us: "“What does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, always walking in obedience to him, lo...
